Reading a news paper daily morning, we come across many articles which criticize or comment on the style of a player. There are many popular columnists who have written positively or negatively about others, but most critics have given an unbiased opinion about one player.
One such critic, which I could see evidently in the news paper is the comment from the Aussie retd. Wicket keeper legend Adam Gilchrist. His comments about maestro Sachin Tendulkar were completely baseless and wrong. Commenting on this dialogue, former Aussie captain Steve Waugh, who is also a columnist said that it was right on Gilly’s part to say such words. The issue in discussion was the Monkey Gate issue where Indian off spinner Harbhajan Singh was accused of calling Aussie player Andrew Symonds as a Monkey.
At this juncture I would like to highlight the role of a critic. Peter Roebuck, a famous critic, who writes in the Aussie media openly criticizes the players, irrespective of the nationality of the player. Such should be the attitude of any sports man. I feel that if anything goes wrong it should be highlighted and rectified.
Waugh’s comments on Gilly is a classic example how a person can be non sportive and just try to support his team mates on wrong instances.

Solitaire and minesweeper are some classic games, which any system should have. When i got myself a mac, I was happy for a couple of days playing chess, but i felt left out without any small games. Linux obviously has a bigger collection than the other two operating systems.
These small games can quench the appetite in a smaller scale, while large action or arcade games are the ones which are absorbing and while away time. Unfortunately, most games are built only on windows and the most famous games are then translated to a mac. Linux was mostly left out.
1. Dungeon crawl Stone soup is an open source game, which has been quite impressive of late. The game is only in its early development and there are a few bugs, which are getting fixed.
Let me know your opinions and ideas on this game. Remember that this is a open source game, and you can also contribute.

macworld expo
Apple fans should be a bit disappointed with apple’s decision over the macworld expo. Macworld is one of the longest serving mac websites and has been faithful to apple though the thick and thin. Macworld Expo is a huge event in the calendar of apple cult and is rated in lines with the keynote.
In a press release apple revealed that the upcoming macworld expo (jan 5-9 2009) will be the last macworld expo that will be witnessing the presence of apple. The reasons behind this hugs step is unrevealed and is a big blow to macworld. Not just macworld, apple fans are also taking this personally. In a blog post by macworld, apple fans rant their feelings using comments as a critical medium. A few people have also planned for being silent on the sya of the event when apple delivers the keynote. “Call it a silent killer”.
More sympathetically, macworld wants apple to be there and stated the absence as a hole in the macworld Expo. Whats a apple event without apple participating in it? Even worse, they were participating and now withdrawing.
If you are participating in the macworld expo, and you really want to send a message to apple inc, Steve Jobs and co, you can signal your protest by remaining silent during the apple’s keynote at macworld.

I am a mac fan biy and I hate to say this. My mac froze!!! I saw the gray screen of death – you must now restart your computer. Unfortunately, I cannot take a screen shot of that. What lead to kernel panic?
I was in New Jersey, runing high on caffine. I was not using airport and hence it was not a virus. Though I use a mac, i get this weird feeling of a virus attack on my mac. I do not use the admin account, but I am sure, the virus, if existed should be capable of breaking into the syste,. esle i would call it a bugaboo
Wikipedia has a good article on kernel panic. I enver seen a linux machine crash, though i crashed linux deliberately a few times in a burn lab experiment. When it came to the MAC, i thought I was impossible to see the mac freeze – It did!!
I am not going for a nti virus though. I am a mac and I am secure. Am I?

CRT monitors have long passed and technology has driven new sizes of television sets that would have only been imagined and laughed at a decade ago. How would want a 50″ LCD tv in your living room? I was shopping thorugh amazon and i am amazed to see the prices of LCD TV have really plummeted to about 50% of last year’s price. The new controversy at LG televisions has let the users to think that this is a good time to purchase a TV.

I bought myself a 52″ Sony LCD TV last week from amazon, the product is yet to reach, because of shipping delays. If you are interested in buying a large TV, you should take care of a few points.
1. Buy at amazon, you ll save on the tax.
2. Choose only very good rating products, since you might have trouble returning the product, in case of a defect.
3. Choose seller as amazon. This is important because the shipment damage is insured.
Cannot wait to see my new TV. Got furniture ready too
Shop at amazon for 50 inches and above

Wordpress rocks!! I cannot imagine any other blogging platform better than wordpress. One of the best features of the wordpress platform is the customizable themes. There are thousands of themes to choose from the wordpress themes website as well as numerous third party theme sites you can avail for free or even for a small fee.
I came across a few excellent quality themes, almost can be labeled premium, but are available for free. To use these themes, download the .zip/.tar file, extract it and upload the entire folder inside your themes folder (located in /wp-content/themes).

2. Massivepress

Move from IE. use firefox
Google surprised the internet cult by launching a new browser chrome. In a ironic note to the fact that most google employees use KDE, the chrome was launched only for windows and it is not yet available for linux/mac. The best thing about this fact is that all linux users and mac user, though little, already have a very good browser in the form of safari or firefox. It ll take more than a smile to remove the default label from them.
This is not the case with internet explorer. The best thing about this is that most windows users are still using internet explorer and it is one of the least standards specific browser. In a good measure to move these ignorant folks from using IE, google launched a note in the gmail program, which asked users to “Get faster google mail”. The link then pointed to use either firefox or chrome instead of Internet explorer and claimed there will a massive improvement in speed.
While google does this on a selfish note of moving users to its own browser, there is also a good thing that the motive also moves people away from internet explorer.
