2009 January 30. Millions of french are walking in the streets protesting to safe guard their wages and even hold on to their jobs, courtesy recession. BBC news has just reported that over 2.5 million people are involved in the protest, primarily composed of union laborers. This protest has broght havoc to the regular air and rail services. There is huge traffic everywhere and commutation is becoming a problem.

Everything sounds like what I read from Charles Dickens’ “A tale of two cities”. Why am I inclined to think in such fashion? The french government is very capable of handling the problem, but why then the mess?
