Linux games – Four in a Row

   Posted by: admin    in games

Have you ever felt like you wan to kill yourself? Of late, I have been feeling like that a lot of times. I found this addictive game in my linux desktop and yours truly was easily into the trap. The best of the games could rival this little one and could still lose. Four in a Row is one classic and you can fall prey too, Try it!!

The objective of the game is to arrange four marbles next to each other, horizontally, vertically or even in a diagonal. If you read that and found it easy, I should remind you that there is a opponent too, and is played by a computer. In my opinion, I have enevr won the game, In fact I only play for a draw, fighting against the computer and just delaying the defeat.

This is the closest, I ever came to winning, alright avoiding defeat.

A rare draw game - Four in a row

Tux games – Play Penguin

   Posted by: admin    in games

Solitaire and minesweeper are some classic games, which any system should have. When i got myself a mac, I was happy for a couple of days playing chess, but i felt left out without any small games. Linux obviously has a bigger collection than the other two operating systems.

These small games can quench the appetite in a smaller scale, while large action or arcade games are the ones which are absorbing and while away time. Unfortunately, most games are built only on windows and the most famous games are then translated to a mac. Linux was mostly left out.

1. Dungeon crawl Stone soup is an open source game, which has been quite impressive of late. The game is only in its early development and there are a few bugs, which are getting fixed.

Let me know your opinions and ideas on this game. Remember that this is a open source game, and you can also contribute.
